The latest generation of encrypted external drives, the diskAshur PRO³, sets an elevated standard for data security, combining innovative technology with rigorous compliance. It fully adheres to the stringent requirements of the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification, ensuring robust cryptographic protection. The diskAshur PRO³ supports three selectable hardware encryption algorithms: AES-XTS 256-bit, AES-ECB 256-bit, and AES-CBC 256-bit, allowing users to select their preferred encryption method. By default, it employs AES-XTS 256-bit encryption, a certified algorithm under FIPS 140-2 Level 3 standards. Secure data access is managed through a PIN code entered directly via a built-in keypad.

At the core of the diskAshur PRO³ lies a secure microprocessor certified to Common Criteria EAL 5+, confirming that encryption keys are stored securely in a specialized protected chip, isolated from user data.

An advanced self-destruct feature is also included, allowing users to set a dedicated PIN. Entering this PIN immediately erases all encryption keys, making the data permanently irrecoverable. To resume using the device afterward, users must perform a factory reset.

The built-in keypad allows secure, convenient PIN entry, accepting user-defined codes from 8 to 64 digits. Designed for durability, the keypad is wear-resistant, preventing noticeable keypress patterns from forming, and features adjustable backlighting for ease of use in various lighting conditions.

• Brute-Force Protection. The diskAshur PRO³ defends against brute-force attacks by permanently deleting encryption keys after ten consecutive incorrect PIN attempts, making data irrecoverably inaccessible and securing it against unauthorized access.
• BadUSB Protection. The diskAshur PRO³ incorporates advanced protection against BadUSB attacks through digitally signed firmware verified by secure cryptographic processes. This ensures the device resists unauthorized firmware modifications, preventing malware injection and safeguarding host systems from compromise.
• Self-Destruct Feature. The diskAshur PRO³ features a self-destruct capability via a user-defined PIN. Entering this special PIN instantly erases the encryption keys within the secure EAL5+ certified microprocessor, making all data permanently inaccessible, ensuring rapid protection in critical situations.
