The diskAshur PRO2 is an external SSD/HDD drive featuring military-grade AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption. To access the data, users must authenticate via the onboard keypad by entering a secure PIN code. The device offers robust protection for sensitive data and is housed in a sleek, high-quality aluminium enclosure.
The iStorage diskAshur PRO2 is certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3, confirming it meets strict U.S. government standards for secure encryption, tamper resistance, and safe key management—ideal for protecting sensitive data in regulated environments.
Access control is managed via the built-in wear-resistant keypad, which supports PINs between 7 and 15 digits. The diskAshur PRO2 supports both Admin and User PINs, allowing an administrator to retain control and recover access if a user forgets their PIN.
Key secure features of diskAshur PRO2:
- Hardware Encryption AES-XTS 256-bit. Provides real-time data protection without impacting performance. All encryption and decryption processes take place within the device, ensuring that unencrypted data is never exposed.
- Secure Microprocessor. Certified to Common Criteria EAL5+, providing strong protection through true random number generation. It is engineered to resist both logical and physical attacks, including SPA, DPA, SEMA, and DEMA.
- Brute-Force Protection. If an incorrect PIN is entered 15 consecutive times, the device assumes a breach and automatically deletes the encryption keys, rendering all data permanently inaccessible.
- BadUSB Protection. Defends against BadUSB attacks using digitally signed firmware verified by cryptographic methods, preventing unauthorized firmware modifications.
- Self-Destruct Feature. Activated by a separate Self-Destruct PIN, this instantly deletes encryption keys, permanently rendering all data unrecoverable in emergency situations.
- Multi-Platform Compatibility. Supports plug-and-play functionality across Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, and embedded systems without needing additional software.
