The iStorage diskAshur ² is an external HDD or SSD drive featuring robust hardware encryption and secure PIN code authentication. It uses military-standard AES-XTS 256-bit real-time encryption based on the reliable FIPS PUB 197 algorithm, securely storing and protecting sensitive data.

Available in an elegant design with four color options—black, light blue, bright red, and dark green - the drive boasts a sleek, smooth surface with double cushioning and IP56-certified dust and water resistance. An optional protective carrying case is also available.

The diskAshur ² features strong defence mechanisms against brute force and BadUSB attacks, enhanced by epoxy-coated electronic components that significantly impede physical tampering. Its secure microprocessor holds Common Criteria EAL 5+ certification, indicating the encryption key is stored securely within a dedicated protected chip, separate from user data.

An advanced self-destruct feature allows users to set a specific PIN, upon entry of which encryption keys and all stored data become permanently inaccessible, requiring a factory reset for future use.

Data access is conveniently controlled via the built-in keypad, accepting user-defined PIN codes between 7 to 15 digits. The keypad is durable and wear-resistant, preventing identification of frequently pressed keys. Additionally, the device supports separate administrator and user PINs, providing a backup access option in case the user forgets their PIN.
