FIDO Security Key – log in without a password with immune to phishing.

FIDO Security Keys are hardware tokens that use public key cryptography to provide password-free, secure authentication. FIDO Security Keys connect to your device using USB, NFC or Bluetooth, and comply with standards like FIDO2 and U2F. When the user tries to log in, the key authenticates the domain of that service and returns a cryptographic proof of the user’s identity — without revealing secrets. Because the keys never share private data between each other and are limited to the specific sites themselves, they are also resistant to phishing.

OTP Authentication—one-time passwords for two-factor safety.

One more recognized way to reinforce the security of login is, OTP (One-Time Password) Authentication. Back to OTPs: these are time-sensitive passwords that work based on hardware tokens or mobile applications. The benefit of using OTPs is that they are unique every time they are used, which reduces the risk that exists with the usage of static passwords. If a rogue user takes hold of an OTP, it constricts in seconds. OTP Authentication adds a dynamic security layer and is often used alongside Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Why is it important to use two-factor authentication?

Using two-factor authentication (2FA) is important because it significantly increases the security of your accounts by requiring two forms of verification: something you know (like a password) and something you have (such as a phone or hardware token).
